Since Nick and Jessica did not have a pre-nup when they initially got married when they divorced nick was entitled to half of what the both of them make through out their 3 year marriage. This totaled to be some 30million dollars that Nick was entitled to half of. Joe simpson would not have this and offered him 1 million. Nick declined. Just recently Nick and Jessica have come to an agreement and Jessica has offered Nick 6 Million which he has accepted. Do you think Nick should have gotten more? Who do you think was more responsibile for making the 30 million?

Yes I think he should have gotten more. Joe Simpson didn't want them to sign an agreement because at the time Nick was much more successful. I think he should have gotten half! If Jessica didn't become so successful and Nick had made alot more money, do you think Joe Simpson would have wanted half then?

Definitely Half. I believe that Jessica would have become famous either way but I think Nick speed her process up. Thanks to their show Newlyweds espeacially. So I think half is more than fair for what Nick should get.

I too feel Nick should have gotten half, but it really does show how much he cared about Jessica and not the money that he would settle for 6mil, he isnt a money hungry loser like other popstars husbands, thats for sure.

The whole reason Jessica became a megastar is because of Newleyweds- she was some C-List singer before that show, and it was their marriage situation that made the show so hugely successful. I know he loves her and that's why he accepted less money, but I would have fought tooth and nail for more. I mean, his career isn't exactly taking off... |

I dont think the money matters to Nick. He is still a down to earth guy even though he is a millionaire. ( Hmm sounds like someone I know!<3) Nick is more concerned with the things that matter in life, Family, Love, Happiness, and of course sports! He just a really great guy.

I think the 1 mil they offered him was a total slap in the face. He deserves half, he deserves at LEAST 15 million + half from the sale of their house, assets, etc.. I know they had each bought each other big lavish gifts and they should have sold em and split the money.
I couldn't agree more, Nick really loves Jess. No amount of money matters. and that says more than 30 million. |

yep he should have but daddy simpson wouldnt let it be that way, pay backs a biotch daddy simp- he didnt want a prenup cuz at the time nick was more successful than jess, daddy simp wanted to cash in on nick,

Yup, and some people even think that the marriage was staged so they can rank in the cash. I don't belive that, but Daddy Simpson as weird as he is would do something like that to benifit himself and his daughter.
