I was reading in Star Magazine that the couple was reportadly seen checking out diamond rings at Cartier on March 8 during their 6 day trip to Rome. John has also been telling his freinds that Jessica is the women that he wants to settle down with and start a family. He says that Jess has all the right ingredients and she makes him laugh. John also says that he has found his soulmate. He had wanted to have a wife, a home and a degree of stability before he turned thirty-just six months from now. Expect a low key intimate wedding when their schedules clear up. Also they where saying that when they tie the knot they want to start trying for a baby. It is at the top of Jess's list to start a family and she has finally found someone she wants to do that with. Some think that she is even already trying. Wow, what do you guys think? How long have they been together anyway???

OH SHIT .... ok lemme stop hyperventilating, alright, well first lets start by answering that question by looking back in our handy forums...

Looks like our first posts about them was around late September. So they could have been together for 6 months tops. It is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too soon to be getting married. she dated Nick 6 years before getting married to him. 6 months is definitely not long enough for me. She doesnt even know him in my opinon, she could very well marry him and then 3 months down the line go " well who are you you arent who I married" Im glad that John is finally seeing what a wonderful woman she is, but it took him soooooo long in my opinon, too long. I wonder if joe simpson has any encouragement here too. I just think its too soon, they really need to get to know each other better, and I think the best way to learn about one another is to move in with each other. So be it as it may, if they are looking long term they should get a place together at least for a little bit before they get married, that way theyll truely see what the other person is like and if they can live with them.

MsBlonde, Normally I would have to agree with you on them getting married way too soon, but due to me getting married at 9 months from meeting my hubby I kinda disagree. We have been together for 8 years already and have a 4 year old. We are still in love and I really can't complain. He's the greatest. But I got Lucky. It doesn't always work out that way. So it is safer for them to live together first and then see if it's worth getting married. With me and my hubby we knew it was love, the time didn't matter. From the first day that was it for both of us and it still is. Thank God!!!LOL

My parents had come together 5 months before they got married. They have been together for 22 years and I think they will get on well till their dying day.

With all due respect I think that 6 months is way to early to get married. People always rush into things in Hollywood - we don't even know how John feels about her working. He could be one of those people who want to lock up thier wifes out of insecurity Crying or Very sad

Well it's official. John poped the question. Well that is according to Star Magazine. They said that John took jESSICA TO Australia for a romantic hush hush honeymoon and as they walked hand in hand along a picturesque beach he asked her to marry him. Awww how romantic.

I must be living in the stone age because i have heard nothing about a proposal... which leads me to believe that star is wrong.

I would think that if it was close to true E! news and Us weekly and perez hilton would be all over that!

I think Jessica will remarry first, Nick will be extra extra careful, he thought jessica was IT, and he was obviously wrong. He'll make sure hes super sure the second time.
